Ever fall in love with a piece but have NO idea how to style it? I certainly do... (cue Pinterest)

I've teamed up with Pam, owner of Plum Consignment, and two other fabulous ladies to offer styling tips for a few pieces in her closet - pieces similar to ones that she gets in the shop, that customers often ask "What the heck do I wear with this?!".

Navy Pleated Bird Midi Skirt

DAY                                 NIGHT
Day: Adding a pop of another print makes this fun midi skirt even more fun! Wear with a denim jacket to balance out the patterns and incorporate corresponding colors in your jewelry (keep it simple though). A neutral purse and pumps make for a cohesive look!

Night: Balance the high waist with a crop top. With such a bold print, keeping the jewelry simple allows for wiggle room to play with your shoes - I would pair with an ankle strap and a smaller clutch to make the skirt the focus.

Black Lace Mini Skirt

DAY                                 NIGHT
Day: This lace skirt is perfect for texture play. Adding knits, cashmere and leather will create interest, but keep the colors neutral. I added a scarf here (because it's still cold out) so you can wear a fun bracelet stack and dainty earrings. Since the skirt hits mid thigh, balance with an ankle bootie - wear with or without black tights or scrunched up knit socks!

Night: If you're going to go with a mini skirt and a plunging neckline, make sure you cover up the rest. This long sleeve deep V-neck top paired with OTK boots will ensure that you're not showing too much skin. Add simple accessories and a bold lip for a night on the town.

Mint Tulle Midi Skirt

DAY                                 NIGHT
Day: I paired this skirt with a knotted chambray top and black heels to balance the fullness of the tulle. Adding pops of mint (err.. sea foam green?) with your jewelry and a relaxed bag is a great way to tie the look together. And seriously, how perfect are these Kendra Scott pieces for this look?!

Night: Play with textures again here - pair this tulle skirt with a 3/4 length sleeve lace crop top (it should hit right at the top of the skirt: your natural waist). Keep your shoes neutral (feel free to play with straps and laces though) and your earrings simple, that way you can add a statement necklace or a bracelet stack!

Orange Stretch Midi

DAY                                 NIGHT
Day: Pair a relaxed midi skirt with a slouchy tank top and a knit cardigan. Wear with sandals or canvas espadrilles for a beachy vibe. Here I added a long pendant necklace with a pop of orange to tie the colors together. And yes, leopard is a neutral :)

Night: Wear this skirt on your natural waist and pair with a shorter hemmed tank. This lace one should just overlap the top of the skirt. Pair with matching shoe and bag combo - nude ankle strap sandals and a similar shade bag.

Black Pleated Flared Mini Skirt

DAY                                 NIGHT
Day: You can literally wear this black flared mini with anything. Here I chose to wear it with a long sleeve chambray button-down. I would roll up the sleeves and tuck it in, then pair it with some gold accessories and booties! Add some color with a bag or a bold lip color.

Night: Take this skirt out for the night by wearing it with a flowy printed top, tucked in, and lace-up heels. Statement earrings and a cocktail ring will provide just enough bling. Add a red lip for instant glam.

Black/White Striped Mini with Lace Appliqué

DAY                                 NIGHT
Day: Tuck in a slouchy tee in the front of the skirt and add a cardigan to play with proportions. Wear with d'Orsay flats and a pendent necklace to balance the shorter length.

Night: Choosing a longer silk cami will allow you to just play with the stripes of this skirt. Wear with a leather ankle bootie to add texture and, again, balance the proportion of the shorter length. Add a chunky bangle, drop earrings and a printed clutch for fun!

How would you style these pieces??
